Established in 1902, Canada Malting along with its sister companies, Great Western Malting, Bairds Malt UK & Barrett Burston Malting Australia, is one of the oldest and well established malting companies worldwide. Canada Malting is a leader in its industry, serving a wide range of Brewers and Distillers, from large multi-national organizations, to the smallest of Craft Brewers.

With 14 malting facilities operating in four countries and North American distribution through the Country Malt Group (North Country and Mid Country Malt Supply), we are well positioned to meet your malt needs coast-to-coast and around the world.

Our network of malthouses, transload sites and warehouses means short order-to-delivery lead times, competitive freight and security of supply in case of weather delays or transportation issues. Our malt is transloaded in malt dedicated facilities and transported by experienced freight companies, ensuring the malt you receive is the same high quality as when it left the malthouse.

MALTS

PREMIUM 2-ROW
Our traditional, premium grade 2-Row malt is made from the finest Canadian barley malt varieties. This malt is a suitable base for all beer styles.

PALE ALE
Canada Malting's higher-color 2-row malt. This product is a very well-modified 2-row malt. Aromatic and perfect for ales of all types. The enzymatically strong Metcalfe barley makes up a significant portion of this malt.

WHEAT MALT
Our wheat malt is made with superior white wheat for the production of traditional German Weissbier and American Wheat Beer. This malt can also be used for added head retention and mouthfeel in any beer.

MUNICH MALT
Produced in the traditional European method, our Munich malt is made by "stewing" germinating 2-row malt, then kilning it at 200°F, providing color and aromatics without introducing the caramel/crystal flavor. A fantastic addition to amber and dark beers, this malt is a favorite among our Microbrewery customers and was originally crafted with the collaboration of one of Canada's most respected Microbrewers.
